It enables upstream and midstream oil and gas companies to improve their operations and meet ESG and methane intensity goals. Kuva features a low-cost camera that pinpoints methane release locations and quantifies flow rates based on minute-by-minute measurements. Leak analytics can be used to prioritize operational responses, quantify ongoing conditions, and confirm nominal performance.

Our company name, Kuva, reflects the international make-up of our team in Boston and Calgary. Drawn from the Finnish language, Kuva means “picture” or “image,” which embodies our mission to visualize and quantify methane gas leaks so they can be prioritized and mitigated.
